iLogic - A Generative Approach

Inventor iLogic is oftentimes based on the concept of a “Master Model” where everything is self-contained including all parts, assemblies, and their corresponding constraints. A second method, one without the “Master Model”, is something KETIV Engineers have begun to explore with customers. Jonathan Kriek, MFG Solutions Engineer, shows how KETIV is using a templated automation approach with “Generative” capabilities using iLogic along with the Inventor API to create highly-customizable designs, build components on the fly, and assemble automatically based on ever-changing conditions. Recap: iLogic Rules & Workflows Workshop

A long time ago, in a college not so far away (Cal Poly Pomona to be exact), I found an urge to want to split myself in two. The fun side of Jorge would be able to go out with friends and the responsible side could focus on studying, homework, classes, and work.

Lately, I find myself trying to figure out a way to duplicate myself again. However, it’s so I can take on more work. Not so long ago, the industry found itself trying to figure out how to do more with less. Now, we want to do more with what we have. I’m here to tell you, through Inventor’s iLogic tool, we can!
